What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oregon Equipment Territory Manager position at Sws Equipment Llc?
As the Equipment Territory Manager covering Oregon, you'll drive sales of refuse equipment by building strong relationships with both current and new customers in your assigned territory. In this role, youll be responsible for identifying client needs, recommending the best products and services, and preparing detailed proposals to ensure satisfaction and accuracy. Youll coordinate orders, support clients post-sale, and promote additional parts and service offerings to enhance customer value. Success in this role requires strong communication, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Solicits sales of new and used refuse marketed equipment to customers located within assigned territories and maintains market penetration as required by VP of Sales
- Assists the customer in identifying which model and components will suit his/her needs
- Creates and submits a written proposal for equipment sales identifying model, component specification, build schedule and cost to customer for acceptance
- Coordinates bids with Sales Support / VP of Sales to assure accuracy and completes all necessary paperwork for submission of equipment orders to manufacturer
- Assists customer with any problems which may arise in connection with the sale of the equipment
- Maintains courteous and continuing relations with customer base and working knowledge of customers' base industries and equipment needs

- Promotes the sale of Company parts and service as well as facilitates communication between customer and cross-functional departments
- Sales reporting via an electronic reporting system with Outside Sales Reports to be completed in a timely manner
- High school diploma or the equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organization, and supervisory skills
- Must be driven, proactive, and able to work independently
- Promote and maintain a positive work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- 2 to 4 years of related experience in the equipment industry is preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver's License preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce / Mobile Force is not required but must have willingness to learn
