The ERP Analyst will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, security, integration, and maintenance of the Syspro Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system while also managing, automating, and supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in ERP operations, system configuration, data integrity, and automation of EDI transactions. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize business processes and enhance system efficiencies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports ERP day-to-day operations across the Company, ensuring system reliability, security, and efficiency. Collaborates with the Systems Administrator on the implementation of new software releases, fixes, and upgrades with technical team and users.
- Monitors system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability; ensures communication, seamless information flow, and timely issue resolution to minimize operational disruption.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to identify opportunities for process improvement; creates functional and technical design and develops and executes detailed user acceptance testing to ensure the successful rollout of solutions in coordination with internal teams and vendors.
- Manage system configuration changes, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.
- Develop and maintain MS SQL objects, Crystal Reports, and custom label solutions to support production and shipping operations.
- Maintain clear documentation of ERP customizations, workflows, scripts, and reporting configurations.
- Train internal users on ERP functionalities and ensure proper usage across departments.
- Design, implement, and maintain EDI processes to facilitate seamless data exchange with trading partners.

Manage and automate key EDI transactions (X12, EDIFACT standards), including:
- Inbound transactions: 830 (Planning Schedule), 850 (Purchase Orders), DELFOR (Delivery Forecast).
- Outbound transactions: 856 (ASN), DESADV (Despatch Advice), 810 (Invoices), INVOIC (Invoice).
- Error handling: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with 824 (Application Advice) and 997 (Functional Acknowledgment).
- Automate and optimize EDI workflows using VB scripting, PowerShell, and batch files.
- Monitor and manage secure data transfers via SFTP, ensuring timely and accurate EDI transmissions.
- Maintain EDI mappings and configurations in Cadacus and Syspro, troubleshooting errors as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve EDI-related issues and improve efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights.
- Advanced knowledge of VB scripting, PowerShell, Microsoft SQL, and batch file automation. C# is a plus.
- Experience in Syspro ERP administration and EDI platforms (Cadacus preferred).
- Strong project management, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of ERP management experience (Syspro preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of EDI experience (X12 and EDIFACT)
- Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, sales, purchasing and other related business processes.
