SyberJet Aircraft is seeking an experienced Powerplant Integration Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in powerplant system design and integration within the aerospace sector. Experience optimizing aircraft engine performance, writing certification documents, and conducting system safety assessments is essential. Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter is preferred. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with internal engineering groups and SyberJets external suppliers to ensure seamless integration of new engine systems with the aircraft while maintaining compliance with safety and design objectives. Prior FAA Part 23 or Part 25 certification experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Powerplant Integration and Design :
- Evaluate and integrate new engines into aircraft programs, ensuring all interfaces, mounting points, system requirements, and safety objectives are addressed.
- Assist in updating the aircraft fuel delivery system design to ensure compatibility with the new engine and optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 23 regulations and other relevant airworthiness requirements, which may require coordination with the FAA.
- Optimize engine performance for all phases of operation (takeoff, climb, cruise, landing) while considering environmental factors such as altitude and external conditions.
- Prepare and submit all required certification documentation for the engine and related systems.
- Support the development of aircraft system safety assessments involving powerplant equipment or functions, ensuring that all safety objectives are met.
- Testing and Validation :
Support engine testing programs, including ground testing and flight testing, to validate engine integration and overall performance.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in turbofan engine integration for aircraft.
Model-Based Systems Engineering design and requirements tracking methodologies.
