Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Assist users with mobile devices, ensuring connectivity and functionality.
- Analyze system performance and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Manage user accounts through Active Directory and maintain security protocols.
- Support Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring all updates and patches are applied.
- Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
- Document issues and resolutions in a ticketing system for future reference.
- Conduct regular maintenance on desktop systems and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in desktop support with experience in Windows operating systems is essential.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Experience with Active Directory for user management and security settings.
- Knowledge of computer management practices, including hardware troubleshooting and software installation.
- Ability to analyze problems effectively and implement appropriate solutions.
- Experience with mobile device management is preferred but not required.
