Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring that all computer systems and hardware are functioning optimally. Duties
- Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Utilize tools such as Remedy and Jira to track and manage support requests.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to TCP/IP connectivity, DNS, and firewall configurations.
- Assist in the deployment and management of software applications using SCCM.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and resolutions.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to improve system performance and user experience.
- Conduct regular maintenance on hardware components to ensure reliability.
- Offer training and guidance to end-users on software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Experience
- Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably as a Desktop Support Technician.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Remedy or Jira is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze problems effectively and provide timely solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and improving support processes.
