What are the responsibilities and job description for the Count Team Member position at Sycuan Casino?
The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.
Much has changed since that time. Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region.

- Accounts for gaming revenue and early audits by processing and counting currency through
- Reconciles revenue by strapping gaming and non-gaming currency separately, racking and stacking casino chips and coins, balancing slot machine tickets and kiosk vouchers separately, completing all necessary paperwork, entering all pertinent information into the computer system, and transporting all funds to the Vault.
- Verifies Slot and Table Games Drop boxes by removing them from applicable the drop carts, verifying they are empty, and placing all canisters/boxes back in the proper areas of the carts.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Bank vault experience
- Casino experience
- 1-year cash handling experience
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Ability to count quickly and accurately
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to appear for work on time
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to interact effectively with team members
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to complete forms and documents
- Ability to repeatedly walk, stand, bend, stoop and push for extended periods of time
