LEAD JANITOR

Job Purpose: Performs janitorial services for assigned Tribal departments   Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Provides Tribal Departments with clean orderly work environment by mopping and cleaning restrooms, floors, shelves, mirrors, chairs, and tables within assigned work areas, vacuuming carpets, disposing of boxes, trash and other debris, refilling toilet paper, paper towels, and other sundries, and replacing trash liners and empty water bottles as needed. - 95% Assists Supervisor by performing duties of the Supervisor in his/her absence. - 5% Job Specifications: Education and Experience: Essential: High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D. 1 year housekeeping experience Desirable: Supervisory experience Skills and Knowledge: Essential: Ability to communicate effectively in the English language Ability to understand and follow written directions and verbal directives Ability to provide leadership and guidance to co-workers Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time Ability to bend and stoop Ability to grasp and lift Ability to climb a ladder Ability to appear for work on time Ability to accept constructive criticism Ability to maintain professionalism and composure Desirable:   Supervisory/Managerial Accountability: Direct:          None
