Job Purpose:
Sells chips to guests and dealers
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
Maintains adequate supply of poker chips by obtaining chips from Poker room cage and refilling poker table banks according to established procedure.
Provides guest service by answering incoming poker room calls, providing appropriate information to guest inquiries, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Poker games and promotions, and selling chips to guests upon request.
Maintains accuracy of funds by recording transactions, shortages and overages at end of shift according to established procedures.
Coordinates Poker room seating by greeting guests, issuing paging devices to notify players of availability of requested games, recording appropriate information on poker board and notifying Floor Managers of table changes and seat lock-ups.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:Essential:
6 months cash handling experience
Desirable:
High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.
Chip runner experience
Poker player experience
Office receptionist experience
Skills and Knowledge:Essential:
Basic understanding of chip use and chip denominations applicable to poker games
Ability to count cash and make change in a fast paced environment
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to complete forms and documents
Ability to appear for work on time
Ability to walk and stand for up to six hours at a time
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Basic writing skills
