Job Purpose:
Supports promotions staff in executing and publicizing casino promotions and special events
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
Assists with casino marketing and casino directed promotions by researching, identifying and contacting vendors, providing recommendations, creating vouchers and other promotional paperwork, maintaining historical files, and placing casino signage following established procedure. - 35%
Tracks creative projects by generating Creative Service requests for publicity and operational materials, drafting copy and proofs collateral, and maintaining collateral promotions binder. - 20%
Provides guest service by being present on the casino floor during promotions, answering guest questions, explaining promotion rules and complimentaries, and providing guidance to assigned Club Sycuan Staff. - 15%
Collaborates with promotion and events personnel by participating in promotions meetings, brainstorming on new promotions, taking meeting minutes, and acting as liaison with other departments to distribute minutes, completed collateral, and other promotional materials. - 15%
Provides administrative support to the Marketing Department by answering general telephone calls, making copies, and performing other duties as assigned by Marketing management. - 10%
Researches industry competition by visiting other casino web-sites, generating twice-monthly competitive reports on what promotional and marketing efforts are currently underway, and providing report to Marketing Management. - 5%
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
1 year experience coordinating promotions, special events, and/or project management
Desirable:
Casino marketing experience
Copywriting experience
Skills and Knowledge:
