Vice President of Marketing and Analytics

Sycuan Casino Resort is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Vice President of Marketing and Analytics to lead our efforts in driving casino revenue and growth through strategic leveraging of our loyalty club database. This role will focus on developing and executing data-driven strategies centered around promotions, special events, casino host programs, and targeted database marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for maximizing player engagement, increasing visitation frequency, and enhancing customer lifetime value through insightful data analysis, robust forecasting, and rigorous post-analysis. Effective budgeting and resource allocation will be crucial for maximizing the impact of these initiatives. Responsibilities: Lead data-driven marketing and advertising strategies to align with the company's overall business objectives, utilizing customer relationship management tools, marketing automation platforms, and advanced analytics capabilities. These strategies will encompass the development and execution of impactful marketing of casino promotions and special events. Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and data-centric decision-making, with a focus on optimizing casino promotions grounded in forecasting, data analysis and market research.  Nurture a data-centric culture, providing training and guidance on database marketing best practices, forecasting methodologies, and post-analysis techniques. Conduct regular performance reviews and manage team resources effectively. Oversee all casino marketing, promotions, and advertising activities, including: Database management and maintenance Promotion & Special Events Market research Database marketing: Leverage player data to segment audiences, personalize offers, and drive targeted marketing campaigns that maximize player acquisition, retention, and lifetime value, including the development of data-driven casino promotions to stay ahead of the local market. Drive development and growth by execution of impactful marketing campaigns across various channels (email, direct mail, digital, online & offline), utilizing A/B testing and data analysis to optimize performance for maximum ROI, with a focus on promoting casino offerings and increasing player engagement, visitation, revenue and profit. Analyze marketing and performance metrics (including traditional and digital channels), identify areas for improvement, and translate insights into actionable strategies, including optimizing casino promotions for greater effectiveness. Manage the marketing and advertising budget and ensure efficient resource allocation, leveraging data insights to optimize spending across channels, campaigns, and casino promotions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, agencies, and media outlets, leveraging partnerships to expand reach and amplify marketing efforts and promote casino offerings. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer behavior through ongoing market research and competitive analysis. Utilize data to understand Sycuan Casino Resort's position in the market and identify opportunities for differentiation, especially concerning casino promotions. Provide strategic guidance and data-driven insights to the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Advertising, informing decision-making across the entire marketing function, including the development and execution of casino promotions. Education and Experience Essential 10 years of experience in marketing 5 years of experience in casino marketing or a related field, with a strong focus on database marketing, promotions, and player development, including proven experience managing a team of analysts. 5 years of experience leading a marketing team Proven track record of developing and executing successful data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns, with a focus on maximizing ROI. Experience working with casino management systems (CMS) and other relevant marketing technologies. Skills and Knowledge Essential Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, marketing automation platforms, advanced analytics tools, and relevant information technology. Deep expertise in database marketing principles and techniques, including segmentation, targeting, and personalization, with a passion for leveraging customer data. Demonstrated experience in marketing budgeting, forecasting, and post-analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, including experience mentoring and developing team members. Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans and manage complex projects.
