Job Summary:
As an Inventory Control Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate stock records, analyzing inventory movement, making recommendations for minimum and maximum stock levels, tracking returns and exchanges, and receiving incoming shipments.
What you will do:
- Regularly update inventory records to reflect stock movement and adjustments.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet demand.
- Analyze stock movement patterns and recommend minimum and maximum stock levels for efficiency.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose strategies for clearance or disposal.
- Receive incoming shipments of materials, verify contents against purchase orders, and enter relevant information into the inventory management system.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory performance to management, including recommendations for process enhancements.
- Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain inventory integrity.
- Review manufacturer stocking requirements and make necessary adjustments to optimize inventory levels.
- Evaluate product naming conventions to ensure alignment with company standards and requirements.
- Make recommendations for product naming adjustments as needed.
- Review inventory history to identify recurring issues or discrepancies.

- Ability to carry around 70 - 100 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Warehouse supply experience.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands
- Standing / Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing inventory tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using office equipment, including computers, keyboards, phones, and other devices. Requires the ability to type and handle small objects like paper clips, pens, etc.
- Lifting/Carrying: required to lift material up to 100 pounds.
- Reaching: Ability to reach, bend, and stoop to access files, documents, or office equipment.
- Sitting: Occasional sitting within the office to attend meetings, deliver documents, or prepare reports.
- Visual Acuity: Ability to read and analyze written documents, spreadsheets, and data on a computer screen or in paper format.
- Mobility: Must be able to move around the warehouse.
