Job Description:
As a Leasing Agent at SYLIS Property Management, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, helping to guide them through the leasing process. You will be responsible for showcasing available units, handling inquiries, conducting property tours, and processing lease applications. Your role is essential in achieving and maintaining high occupancy rates while ensuring an exceptional experience for all potential tenants. You will collaborate with the property management team to implement marketing strategies, follow up with leads, and assist with resident relations. Your attention to detail and customer service skills will contribute to the continued success and reputation of our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leasing & Marketing:
- Greet and tour prospective residents, showcasing available units.
- Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Assist with marketing campaigns, including open houses and social media efforts.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on rental trends and competitor properties.
- Resident Relations:
- Build strong, professional relationships with residents and address concerns promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process and resident lifecycle.
- Communicate move-in and move-out procedures clearly to new and departing residents.
- Administrative Duties:
- Process rental applications, verify qualifications, and prepare lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate lease records, including renewals and resident information.
- Collect rent payments and manage other fees as needed.
- Support resident retention efforts, including renewal coordination.
- Property Maintenance Support:
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and document unit conditions.
- Report maintenance needs and ensure timely completion.
- Support property management with maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness.
- Take and follow up on maintenance requests, ensuring residents’ satisfaction.
- Team Support:
- Collaborate with property management, maintenance, and staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Supervise and direct staff in the absence of the Property Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (some college preferred).
- Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as required.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws is a plus.
- Spanish fluency is a plus.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate the property, including climbing stairs during tours or inspections.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Use of hands and fingers for office equipment.
- Ability to visually inspect units and property grounds.
Work Environment:
- Office-based with regular exposure to outdoor environments during tours.
- Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Interaction with residents, prospects, and staff in a busy, dynamic environment.
