Paper Senior Process Engineer
- Ensure department employees complete required safety & mill specific training
- Review and follow up on deposit issues daily
- Follow up on daily operational issues (investigate extended grade changes, acceptance losses, and availability impacts)
- Manage purchased pulp (HW, SW, PCW, BCTMP)
- Coordinate & assist with color runs (dye inventories, pulp requirements)
- Create and update color recipes & grade recipes as needed
- Update Stock Prep, Additive & Baler Room operating procedures
- Startup and develop work system for Sodium Alginate make down process
- Complete Stock Prep related RCFA/RI action items and follow ups
- Attend Whiteboard review sessions and employee round tables
- Attend daily MWS meetings
- Prioritize notifications / work orders for repairs and maintenance including PMs (filters, save-alls, thickeners, refiners).
- Coordinate planned maintenance outages including lockouts
- Annual Outage planning, tank inspections, chest cleaning, lockouts
- Plan outage operational tasks (run outs, system boilouts, system flushes)
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or associated field
- Experience and knowledge of stock preparation/additive/paper making processes.
- Proven capability of working through others and facilitating a strong teamwork environment.
- Ability to manage through systems and develop effective work systems.
- Drive for results.
Salary : $94,900 - $128,300
