The Director oversees and directs day to day operations, directs and supervises staff, develops budgets, meets/exceeds occupancy goals, builds positive relationships and ensures effective communication within the community and in the local business area, ensures delivery of the best and highest quality services to residents, enforces policies and procedures and maintains compliance with all Company, federal, state and local requirements. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the community.
- Responsible for all community operations, and is the primary contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies and the public.
- Supervise, direct and motivate community staff.
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Ensure the delivery of the highest quality and best services to residents in the most economical manner possible. Responsible for creating and maintaining an atmosphere of stability where the personal dignity of residents is supported.
- Assists with developing annual operating and capital budgets
- Hire, train, discipline and terminate employees in accordance with company policies. Review hiring, promotion, disciplinary action and termination of staff to ensure consistency and quality in the selection and retention of staff.
- Oversee preventative maintenance systems, programs and inspections to ensure buildings, grounds and property meet or exceed company standards.
- Utilize sales and marketing activities and strategies to maximize occupancy.
- Assist in developing and conducting service plan reviews with appropriate resident care team members and resident families.
- Oversee the healthcare management of all residents in accordance with company policy and state regulations. Supervise the maintenance of resident charts and review documentation performed by resident care staff. Oversee the adherence to company policy regarding administration of medication. Assist nursing personnel in staff training and education.
- Create and oversee all policies and procedures.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role from within a Long Term Care,
Assisted Living and/or Memory Care facility
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, gerontology, business or related field preferred
- Must meet all requirements of WI CBRF regulations
- Completion of DHS 83 Administrator Course
Skills/Qualifications Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills (English)
- Marketing and Sales Experience supporting older adults.
- Dementia Care Experience.
- Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
- Possess sound judgment and the ability to delegate assignments to appropriate individual(s)
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete directives, projects and assignments on time
- Must be flexible: the Community Director will be required to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the community (residents, staff and operations). Position may require working weekend and evening hours and/or on-call status.
- Prior experience opening and operating a new community is a plus.
- PC proficiency (including MS Office- Outlook, Word and Excel)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
