JOB TITLE: Managing Director
DIVISION: Sylvan Learning & Class101 Center of Fulshear, TX
REPORTS TO: President
SUMMARY
The individual is responsible for creating a positive personal experience for students and their families.
We are seeking smart, dynamic individuals to interact with the families of our students and Sylvan Staff. In this role, you will teach on a regular basis, greet families professionally, taking phone calls and messages, meet parents (once converted into FT role) to review their child's academic growth, and ensure a smooth Center Operation.
- The position is a Full-time position for an experienced Managing Director or a Center Director but Part-time for 2 to 3 months to convert into a Full-Time after training for all other candidates.
- Saturday availability is required (Friday and Sunday are off days).
- PT position is hourly while FT can be hourly or salaried.
- PT doesn't include benefits but FT includes benefits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensures timely and high quality personal customer service response to all calls and walk-in inquiries; Ensures calls get answered during business hours
- Manages the day-to-day operation of the Center
- Teaches on a regular basis
- Confers with customers at each stage of the customer lifecycle; Directs the sales and service process throughout the customer lifecycle to keep customers enrolled
- Promotes financing options that meet the customer’s needs and manages the application/closing process
- Manages marketing and sales activities to drive new enrollments
- Conducts school visits to establish and maintain relationships with school personnel for partnership and marketing purposes
- Create and post Media posts on Facebook and other social media
- Provide visitors with information and direct them appropriately
- Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings
- Ensure COVID-19 related cleaning/safety standards are met
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
- Four year degree required
- Teaching Certificate (in-state or out-of-state) Required
- A degree in Education required but maybe waived for the candidate with 10 years of teaching experience from public/private/charter schools
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative role
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently
- Social Media experience required
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other standard business applications used by the Center, including current social media tools
- Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phones
- Familiarity with instructional technology and tablet computers preferred
- Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
