Math Tutor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of various subjects, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry, study skills, and ACT/SAT. This role involves working with students of different ages, from children to adults, and providing tailored educational support to help them achieve their academic goals.

Duties

• Provide instruction in subjects such asAlgebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry, study skills, and ACT/SAT.
• Assist students in understanding complex concepts through clear explanations and practical examples.
• Evaluate student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
• Utilize effective teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles
• Maintain open communication with students regarding progress and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of subject matter including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry, study skills, and ACT/SAT.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Previous teaching experience is an advantage

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week

Schedule:

• After school
• Weekends as needed
