Sylvan Learning of Central IL is looking for a Part-Time Upper Level Math tutor! As a part-time Sylvan tutor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group setting. You will provide personalized instruction in the subjects you are qualified to and wish to teach. If you aspire to inspire, then we want you on our team! We teach our students how to learn, so they build confidence and develop the skills needed to achieve success in school and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct students by following Sylvan's curriculum
- Evaluate and document student progress
- Manage students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional, educational session
- Supports procedures to ensure student safety and well-being
- Communicate any student needs to center director
- Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching at Sylvan!
Requirements:
- Able to Engage, motivate and inspire students to learn
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible
- Strong problem solving and customer service skills
Position Details:
- Part- Time position starting at $14
- Flexible scheduling Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm
- Reports to: Center Director
- No prep! Fully prepared lesson plans and materials are provided!
