Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide educational support to students in a variety of subjects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong skills in classroom management, communication, and curriculum implementation. This role is essential in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions (max of 4:1 ratio) in various subjects.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with director regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Foster a love for learning by encouraging curiosity and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain focus and engagement during sessions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of curriculum
- Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance the tutoring experience.
- Previous experience in childcare or education is highly desirable.
- A passion for educating and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
- Bachelors degree, teaching license (or substitute licensure)
