Position Overview:
The Center Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their Sylvan Center, ensuring a high-quality educational experience, and achieving sales and financial goals. This role includes managing customer relationships, leading staff, and ensuring adherence to Sylvan standards, policies, and procedures. The Director also serves as the primary point of contact for the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day center operations, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries (phone and in-person).
- Achieve sales targets, track center performance, and implement strategies to improve revenue and expense management.
- Oversee staff selection, development, and performance reviews.
- Ensure consistent communication within the team, including corporate updates.
- Lead the sales and service process to maintain and increase customer enrollment; meet with new families to review results and present learning plan
- Promote financing options and manage the application process.
- Maintain a professional center environment and ensure adherence to safety and operating standards.
- Maximize student enrollments and develop marketing strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and meet sales/revenue goals.
- Review Educational Learning Plans to ensure students are reaching goals
- Meet with current families to relay progress or concerns
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or related field.
- 1 years of sales experience in education, business, or HR.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and other digital tools.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven sales ability and relationship-building skills.
- Effective staff management and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze business metrics and financial statements.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent written communication and proofreading abilities.
- Collaborative team player.
- Comfortable working some evenings and Saturday mornings.
