Sylvan Learning Centers provide kindergarten through high school
students with a range of supplemental educational services. Our programs assist
students who need to catch up, as well as those who want to get ahead. As a part-time
Teacher with Sylvan, you will teach a variety of students using personal Learning Plans.
No lengthy preparation is necessary and all your materials are provided. You teach,
do your magic in a fun and caring environment, and then go home knowing that you've
helped transform students' lives.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Sylvan Teacher is responsible for creating a positive personal learning experience
for students by teaching students using Sylvan program materials. Using the program
materials, the Teacher creates balanced and robust learning experiences for students.
The Sylvan Teacher evaluates student progress on each assignment, communicates this
progress, and works with Center Staff to ensure learning is personal for each student.
