What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Sylvin/Alphagary?
Supervises, Plans, and Coordinates tasks to accomplish the proactive preventive maintenance, repair, construction, and alteration of plant & property including: equipment; machinery; buildings and grounds; raw material storage; electrical; HVAC; security; dust collection; fire alarm systems; lift trucks and vehicles; and utilities. Cost effectively preserves Orbia/Alphagary's assets using world class planning, leadership, and motivation of direct reports, coworkers, outside contractors/consultants, and performing electrical and mechanical duties an individual.
You will:
- Effectively manages Maintenance Team Associates under Orbia’s Core Values
- Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Demonstrated Leadership and Communication skills that facilitates safety, Quality and best efficiency at Orbia/Alphagary by minimizing waste and maximizing production and maintenance associates’ skill sets of: experience, time, and desire to accomplish.
- Coach and Mentor to achieve constant growth and progress of direct reports. Sets goals, tracks progress, and makes adjustments to the course as needed.
- Is the acknowledged top “Go To” internal knowledge source for 3 – 6 disciplines needed to effectively and efficiently maintain the production efficiency/safety/quality within the Orbia/Alphagary plant. E.g. lubrication, vibration, electrical distribution, piping installation, electrical construction, electrical automation, pumps/fans, inverters/drives, extrusion, mixer repair, scale programming, PLC programming, UWP, etc.
- Aggressively supervises Preventative Maintenance Program for plant, equipment and facilities – in an effort to eliminate all emergencies, failures and unanticipated surprises.
- Utilizes strong industrial mechanical and electrical experience to keep Orbia/Alphagary workplace safe. Industrial experience to include: PLC’s, VFD’s, Industrial controls, electrical distribution, NEC experience, motors, gearboxes, belts/sheaves/couplings, temperature controls, and pneumatic devices including: Cylinders, solenoids, filters, regulators, valves, etc.
- Supervises and is directly and actively engaged in Equipment Installation and Repair, Equipment Refurbishment and Enhancement, and Facilities Repair.
- Supervises and is directly actively working toward efficient, timely resolution of equipment / production downtime by closely working with the Maintenance Team, Operations, Management, and Production Scheduling
- Supervises and coordinates with all involved to help assure that all outside contractors, subs and their representatives are working safety when on Orbia/Alphagary property.
- Investigates, suggests changes and works with plant management for improvement of working conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of operation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Technical college degree preferred (AA, BA Industrial, Production, Mechanical, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of Hands-On Industrial Electro-mechanical experience and Maintenance coordination-supervision-planning-leadership experience required
- Prefer an active certification related to maintenance best practices

Pay: $78,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
