Summary Statement

KT Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated and results driven individual to join our team. The Production Superintendent position will work alongside the production team to produce all KT erosion control products. The superintendent will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in the production process. The superintendent will assist the Area Manager in production planning and will perform other administrative duties as assigned. This position necessitates working outdoors in all weather conditions, while having the ability to remain optimistic and foster a positive working environment. The superintendent will report directly to the KT Manufacturing Area Manager.

Responsibilities

· Demonstrate Syman/KT Manufacturing Values.

· Work with the Area Manager to set Daily, Weekly and Monthly production levels based on orders and needs.

· Work with the production team to minimize waste and maximize production.

· Work with the Area Manager on personnel planning and scheduling.

· Train and supervise all production personnel.

· Participate in employee reviews and any disciplinary actions.

· Work with the Area Manager and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of raw materials needed for production.

· Work directly with the Area Manager and Warehouse Manager on KT inventory, and Receiving orders.

· Keep accurate inventory within NetSuite.

· Perform monthly inventory counts.

· Work with production staff to ensure production levels are met.

· Responsible for staging and loading KT products for shipment to customers.

· Communicate and troubleshoot with Area Manager any issues that arise that will prevent meeting production levels.

· Responsible for KT Safety reports all safety violations and injuries to Safety Manager. Complete incident reports as necessary. Ensure all employees are adhering to OSHA standards.

· Work with the Maintenance Department to ensure the preventative maintenance schedule is being followed. Notify Area Manager of any repairs needed to all KT Equipment.

· Complete incident report for any damaged equipment.

· Keep KT production and storage areas clean and orderly.

· Participate in production and oversee the manufacturing of new products.

· Keep the Area Manager informed regarding equipment failures or concerns and report all damage immediately

Forklift Responsibilities:

· Unload, load, transfer of product and supplies from trucks, production lines, etc.

· Interpret shipping order or receiving orders to determine item to be (un)loaded.

· Ability to stack and unstack pallets of product in rows.

· Checks product quality, and proper shipping information.

· Complete daily inspection of forklifts before operation.

· Operates forklift in compliance with all operation procedures.

· Track, input, change, and update of inventory.

· Comply with proper weight distribution on trucks.

· Ability to become forklift certified with KT Manufacturing.

· Ensure safety rules and regulations are followed and enforced.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Must be a detail-oriented person

· High School diploma or GED required

· Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment

· Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally

· Open to change

· Respectful of authority and chain of command

· Computer comprehension and knowledge
