Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with special needs in achieving their academic, behavioral, and social goals. As a key member of the educational team, you will work closely with special education teachers, related service providers, and school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure a positive learning environment for every student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs under the supervision of a certified special education teacher.
- Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and other instructional strategies.
- Support students in academic, social, and emotional growth by reinforcing lessons and activities designed by teachers.
- Monitor and document student progress and behaviors, reporting observations to the teacher and other relevant staff.
- Assist students with daily living skills, mobility, and personal care needs (if required).
- Facilitate communication and interaction between students, peers, and teachers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, including during transitions, lunch, and recess.
- Set up and organize materials, equipment, and learning environments to support teaching and therapy sessions.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
