About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, industry-experienced R&D Scientist / Bioengineer to lead biosensor and platform innovation. This hands-on role focuses on technical problem-solving and enhancing platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist who is passionate about platform development rather than assay implementation, thrives in early-stage R&D, and is eager to tackle real-world challenges in biotechnology.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and enhance biosensor technology at a fundamental level, improving signal strength, reducing background noise, and refining sensor encoding.
- Troubleshoot platform components, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Leverage expertise in surface chemistry, conjugation chemistry, and biosensors to develop new methodologies.
- Design and execute large-scale R&D campaigns to optimize bioassay parameters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, automation, and manufacturing to translate R&D discoveries into scalable solutions.
- Develop and implement protocols for new targets and platform enhancements.
- Engage in hands-on lab work, including antibody conjugation, DNA modification, fluorescence analysis, and sensor surface functionalization.
- Apply a first-principles approach to solving complex technical challenges.
- Ensure commercial application of innovations, aligning research with product development goals.
