The Cell Test Team at Symbotic is looking for a Co-op student to help accelerate automated testing of industrial controls hardware.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build a solution for testing a Input/Output blocks with configurable ports, input, output, and IOLink.
- Write procedures on utilizing I/O block test solution.
- Document and store all design work and procedures.
- Assist/support the Cell test team when performing test procedures.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
- Electrical, Electro-Mechanical or Instrumentation background.
- Experience with Arduino or Raspberry Pi is required
- Experience with PLC is required. Rockwell preferred.
- Experience programming IOLink or other industrial communication protocols desired.
- Basic understanding of software testing practices
- Enjoys learning new technologies, skills, and techniques as well as teaching them to others
- Effectively communicate ideas, verbal and written
- Strong decision-making skills
- Some physical tasks, such as light maintenance or equipment handling, may be required.
- Up to 10% travel may be necessary.
