What We Need
We are on the lookout for a Lead Electrical Engineer to be a vital part of our Functional Safety team within the Hardware Engineering organization. You will have the opportunity to architect, design, and implement our advanced high-performance computing platform for safety-critical industrial vision systems, emphasizing reliability and fault tolerance.
What You'll Do
- Oversee electrical engineering activities throughout all phases, from specification and design to implementation and thorough verification / validation testing.
- Engage hands-on with the engineering team to create robust solutions.
- Generate detailed electrical schematics using OrCAD CIS, design circuits, define routing constraints, and guide PCB manufacturing.
- Manage technical activities for assigned projects and ensure seamless integration with electro-mechanical and software systems.
- Design power distribution networks (LDO, VR) along with conducting post-layout power integrity analysis.
- Have experience with lab bring-up, certification lab system testing, and debugging system-level issues at customer sites.
- Develop a deep understanding of IEC 61508 functional safety requirements for hardware deployment.
- Coach and guide other electrical engineers on the team.
- Travel to customer sites to support new installations, with travel up to 20%.
