We are looking for a Travel & Expense Program Lead to join our Accounting team within our Finance organization. Your job will be to develop and update travel and expense policies that will be in alignment with organizational goals.

The Accounting team is part of the Finance organization which is a critical financial business partner for the Company. Finance functions include General Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Internal Audit, FP&A. Our Finance team is a trusted source for financial information and guidance for our internal customers, partners, customers, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
- Administer and update travel and expense policies in alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Ensure employees are aware of and adhere to travel and expense policies.
- Oversee the processing of travel and expense reports, ensuring timely reimbursement.
- Implement and manage expense management software to streamline the process.
- Assist with negotiations for contracts with travel service providers (e.g., airlines, hotels, car rental companies).
- Maintain relationships with key vendors to secure the best rates and services.
- Analyze travel and expense data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement strategies to reduce travel costs while maintaining service quality.
- Conduct audits to detect and prevent fraud or misuse of travel and related expenses.
- Generate regular reports on travel and expense activities for senior management.
- Use data analytics to provide insights and recommendations for improving the T&E program.
- Provide training, support and guidance to employees on travel and expense policies and systems.
- Liaison with other departments on insurance coverages, renewals and accident protocols related to travel activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- 5 years’ professional experience, including 2 years’ experience in travel management, expense management, or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing travel programs and expense reporting systems.
- Proficiency with travel management and expense reporting software (e.g., World Travel, Concur, SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy development and employee training.
- Keen attention to detail for auditing and compliance monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that arise in travel and expense processes.
- 10% travel may be required.
- Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.
