Job Summary
The purpose of the Senior Pricing Analyst - Mass Markets role is to support the Mass Market division/department of Symmetry in its efforts to drive profitability through the retail-gas product offerings brought to the marketplace. The Senior analyst is responsible for product development, supporting sales campaigns, and managing the supply/financial portfolio that aligns with our customer obligations. Ultimately, this role is responsible for setting the price for the various Mass Markets retail-gas products that are offered across all our gas choice markets.
Essential Duties/Responsibililities
- Maintain a full understanding of the retail gas products offered
- Understand utility program structures and pricing components in order to develop and maintain product offers
- Support sales campaigns and initiatives by creating and preparing pricing and product offers
- Collaborate with the Mass Markets Operations team to assure products, systems, and billing are aligned
- Ensures accuracy of customer pricing entered into systems
- Prepares and delivers oral and written communications to employees, customers, consultants, and management
- Ensure profitability of the Mass Markets business by managing/updating products and their cost build requirements
- Monitor financial position of the Mass Market natural gas portfolio to align products sold to supply procured
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, such as Supply and Financial desk to ensure model inputs are accurate and the portfolio’s positional requirements are maintained
- Support Leadership and cross functional teams, such as Risk, Accounting, and Finance by reporting on pricing and position
- Develop and maintain up to date knowledge on utility gas choice programs, the natural gas market, and the regulatory rules in our gas choice markets
- Work with and develop complex analysis and reports for pricing, products, volume forecasting and financial position
- Utilizes problem-solving and multi-tasking skills to manage daily work requirements along with interruptions of additional requests

- Represents the organization, department, or company on internal teams and/or to external entities
- Supports or leads cross functional projects that support company objectives, as directed by leadership

Education/Certification/Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business from an accredited college or university OR a combination of education and experience providing equivalent or related knowledge. (Experience in lieu of education is in addition to the Experience requirement.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business-related disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an analyst role Natural gas or energy experience preferred
