Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Team Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will help ensure the quality of our products by performing various testing activities, identifying defects, and working closely with developers and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of product quality. The QA Team Member will contribute to the overall product development lifecycle, ensuring that software releases meet quality requirements before deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of products, systems, or applications.
Work closely with developers and product teams to understand product requirements and design test cases based on specifications.
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Identify, report, and track software defects, and ensure proper resolution.
Test APIs (REST/SOAP)to ensure the integration and communication between different systems are working as expected
Use SQL to query databases and validate data integrity, correctness, and consistency across different environments.
Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or changes don t negatively impact existing functionality.
Collaborate with the development team to resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design, functionality, and performance.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.
Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, and troubleshooting.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
Qualifications:
Experience with manual testing methodologies and understanding of QA principles.
Familiarity with software testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in SQL for writing queries to validate data integrity and perform database testing.
Experience in API testing (using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured).
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and techniques is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in test automation and scripting.
Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
