What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician position at Symphony Technology Solutions?
General:
We are looking to hire a Low Voltage Technician who will work as a part of the field team to execute the installation and QA/QC of low voltage systems under general direction of the Project Manager. This individual should have a firm knowledge of construction processes and standards and work well within a team. Experience with structured cabling, AV, security, access control, or surveillance projects is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned projects accurately and within the allotted time frame.
- Perform assigned projects according to state, local and federal legal requirements.
- Adhere to and help ensure company staff and subcontractors adhere to established safety standards.
- Coordinate with the team leader for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives.
- Follow consistent and repeatable field installation processes to maintain an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project installation results.
- Proactively identify issues and address them in a timely and appropriate manner with support from leadership if needed.
- Attend job progress meetings.
- Any other duties required for the completion of low voltage projects.
Qualifications:
- Certified training courses or 2 years of low voltage electrical experience in the building construction industry.
- Field experience with projects related to mechanical, HVAC controls, fire, AV structured cable, and security systems
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all company stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, and other Symphony personnel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb multiple flights of stairs
- Valid drivers' license and ability to reliably commute is required.
- Ability to pass drug test and/or background check

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
