Symphony Technology Solutions is seeking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant, who will be responsible for handling essential day-to-day accounting information to ensure efficient financial management and reporting. Under supervision of the SVP, Finance and Accounting, this individual will contribute their expertise to the team by performing duties such as assisting with payroll, managing credit cards, data entry, and audits.
The ideal individual will work effectively and efficiently with both customers and the internal project management team, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure data integrity in accounting systems
- Daily maintenance of accounting systems
- Enter invoices into accounting software
- Assist with account analysis
- Assist in all aspects of general ledger accounting
- Prepare journal entries and allocation calculations
- Reconcile bank and credit accounts monthly
- Collaborate with the accounting team to assist with month-end close activities and the preparation of financial statements
- File Sales and Use tax returns
- Provide timely billing to customers
- Set up new vendor accounts as required
- Provide weekly job cost reporting
- Research and assist in resolution of any accounting issues that arise
- Assist with training of other accounting staff as needed
- Complete ad hoc reporting as needed
- Maintain standardization under the scope of this role, including processes, methods, consistency, predictability, and holding accountability
Qualifications:
- Business, Finance, or Accounting degree required
- At least 3 years' experience in accounting or a related field required
- Accounting experience in the construction industry required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Fundamental knowledge of Foundation accounting software preferred
Salary : $70,000 - $100,000
