POSITION SUMMARY
-
The Anesthesia Technician functions under the direction of the Anesthesiologist and the Director Perioperative Services. The Anesthesia Technician utilizes interpersonal, organizational and technical skills to provide an efficient, safe working environment for rendering effective patient care assist in application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. This includes assisting the Anesthesiologist and participating in the development and modification of the plan of care with the perioperative team in the preparation and maintenance of age-specific monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.

QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION:
-
If LPN, graduate of LPN accredited program.

Anesthesia training preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
-
One year experience as LPN, Anesthesia Tech, Surgical Tech or Endoscopy Tech required.

If LPN, previous Anesthesia, Med/Surg, O.R., or comparable experience preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):

If LPN, Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed by the State of Massachusetts and National Certification from ASATT preferred. - required post-hire within 18 months

Current CPR certification.
