Your role
Duties and Responsibilities: (Briefly list 6-10 key activities involved in accomplishing
this position’s purpose and the approximate percentage of time devoted to each).
Essential Functions:
- Evaluate materials, intermediates, and finished products using approved Symrise sensory and analytical methods per material inspection plan.
- Determine appropriate color specification ranges (visual, Gardner, CIE L*a*b*)
- Communicate and interact as required with Production, Technical Perfumery, Applied Research and other allied department personnel in matters requiring QC troubleshooting and/or formula design.
- Maintain the proper function of data upload system and assist in the completion of customer documentation (including but not limited to certificates of analysis, specification reviews, request for technical data, etc.).
- Assist other departments and members of the lab in their requests for analytical test results. Investigate and assist in the resolution of customer complaints and communicate with customers, as needed.

- Perform any related duties as required by Manager
- Maintain an orderly file of analysis results, samples, and allied paperwork
- Support all continuous improvement / Lean initiatives, as required.
- Practice proper GMP, as required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of fragrance ingredients and essential oils
- Knowledge of SAP and collateral QC computer systems is preferred.
- Able to work under pressure, determine priorities, organize resources, and meet QC timelines.
- Strong organizational ability with great attention to detail
- Based on subjective and objective results, able to recognize trends that may impact product quality or Symrise operational performance
- Professional, clear, concise, and effective communication in verbal and written format
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office)
- Will be required to pass sensory test.
- Basic understanding of GC-FID/GCMS
