Your role

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain end-user equipment and software.

  • Ensure that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, hardware configurations, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.
  • Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, recommend and / or implement solutions.
  • Manage and respond to support requests while making proper use of the ticket system to monitor, analyze and resolve support requests.
  • Analyze client systems and report on functionality and performance. Provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain data integrity and security for systems.
  • Act in projects related to endpoint systems.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs).
  • Assist in the tracking of software licensing and compliance.
  • Utilize software distribution tools and standard desktop support tools.
  • Develop training materials and procedures, and / or train users in proper use of hardware and software.
  • Seek ways to apply new technology to and reuse existing technology for business processes.
  • Promotes continuous improvement in the IT functions and activities of Symrise NA and helps assure understanding of our company processes and procedures.
  • Works well in a team environment in which members participate, cooperate with, and support each other.
  • Work overtime, as required.
  • Travel, as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

About you

4 years’ experience in desktop and networked systems support.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or relevant work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of End User Devices (desktops, laptops, mobile, and tablets)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools and administration.
  • Experience supporting and managing the following technologies : Microsoft Office suite, Windows 10, Active Directory, Software Management Tools (SCCM and Intune), End Point Protection (Windows Defender), Microsoft ATP.
  • Experience with networking and telecommunications service, hardware, and cabling.
  • Experience managing locally connected and network connected printers and scanners.
  • The position’s responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving.
  • English language intermediate level required, and Spanish intermediate desired when the position based in Brazil
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and experience working under pressure and deadlines. Works well in a team environment in which members participate, cooperate with, and support each other.
