Your role
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain end-user equipment and software.
- Ensure that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, hardware configurations, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.
- Apply diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, recommend and / or implement solutions.
- Manage and respond to support requests while making proper use of the ticket system to monitor, analyze and resolve support requests.
- Analyze client systems and report on functionality and performance. Provide recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain data integrity and security for systems.
- Act in projects related to endpoint systems.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure documentation (SOPs).
- Assist in the tracking of software licensing and compliance.
- Utilize software distribution tools and standard desktop support tools.
- Develop training materials and procedures, and / or train users in proper use of hardware and software.
- Seek ways to apply new technology to and reuse existing technology for business processes.
- Promotes continuous improvement in the IT functions and activities of Symrise NA and helps assure understanding of our company processes and procedures.
- Works well in a team environment in which members participate, cooperate with, and support each other.
- Work overtime, as required.
- Travel, as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
About you
4 years’ experience in desktop and networked systems support.
