Your role
You will support management in different aspects of supplier products, pricing, quality and shipping. You will also coordinate company purchases with internal customers and authorize use of resources. As a Junior Buyers you must maintain accurate records of current and prospect suppliers and their performance.
The Junior Buyer's main responsibility is to process Requisitions and issuing Purchase Orders via SAP in support of company operations. In addition, you will work to obtain quotes and find specific requirements for our organization's needs. You will negotiate pricing, as well as other conditions with vendors to ensure the best pricing and profit margin for their organization.
The Junior Buyer will work hard to improve costs and consolidate supplier requirements, and you must provide constant support to management executives. You also must follow current market trends related to materials and prices in accordance with procurement policies and procedures. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, expediting Purchase Orders and tracking deliveries to ensure on time delivery.
About you
- Excellent team player and also work well independently.
- Strong communication skills required as you will report to and deliver status reports in support of Buyers, Managers and the Director of Technical Procurement.
- Strong analytical abilities and work well under pressure.
- A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, commerce or related field or 1-3 years of experience
- SAP experience preferred
- MS Office Suite Required.
