Your role
The Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Branchburg manufacturing facility to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment. This role involves coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of facility management.
- Oversee routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure.
- Coordinate and manage repair projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Manage facility grounds and landscaping
- Ensure the facility complies with local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and plans.
- Ensure site is ready for upcoming outside audits and inspections.
- Assist in the preparation and management of the facilities budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely services are delivered.
- Review and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms for the organization.
- Address facility-related inquiries and concerns from staff and visitors promptly and professionally.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Prepare reports and analysis for management on facility status and performance metrics.
About you
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field preferred but not required.- Proven experience in facility management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions.
