Your role
The position is located in NW, Arkansas
Duties and Responsibilities :
A. Work closely with and act as a liaison between the Symrise Food BU Technical team and the
customer Culinary, Marketing and Product development teams.
B. Responsible for Culinary representation of Symrise capabilities, ingredients, and solutions daily
within the Customer organization.
C. Develop strong peer to peer (Chef to Chef, Chef to Technical) working relationships with the
customer.
D. Support Symrise Sales by tracking food / market trends and applying that knowledge to the key customer account. Develop proactive product concepts and presentations that feature
Symrise flavors / ingredients / solutions in the identified culinary trend relative to this customers'
product platforms
E. Oversee the organization and inventory of Symrise library ingredients, including seasonings,
flavors, functional tools.
F. Demonstrate deep passion for product / concept design, creativity, science, collaboration, and
networking with cross functional teams.
Other Functions :
Support and advance the goals of Symrise Culinary R&D, to be a "best in class" group. Maintain a safe and clean working environment. Stay abreast of new food ingredient developments and technologies as well as processing and equipment advances. Support sensory through the preparation of food products for testing and routine flavor evaluations for the flavor library .
About you
- B.S. Food Science or related subject area.
- C.R.C. Certification thru Research Chef Association
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution or commensurate experience in professional kitchens.
- Knowledge of ingredient functionality and food chemistry
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food / flavor manufacturing or relatable restaurant industry experience.
