Your role
VETERINARY CARE: Weekends or as needed.
- Liaison between Panelis Management, and Animal Technicians regarding health issues with the animals.
- Administer veterinary treatments and follow up as prescribed during weekend or as needed
- Perform routine preventative and veterinary technical procedures (Deworming, fecal, baths, post-surgery walks/exercise)
- Support LVT on maintaining medical records when needed and during weekend (Petcom, ezyvet and SOP forms requested)
- Ensure incoming kittens and puppies are quarantined and healthy before integrating into the colony.
- Transfer the animals to/from Vet Clinic as needed
- Maintain Vet Care calendar.
- Ensure proper vet procedures are followed by all Panelis personnel (Outbreak protocols, post-operatory protocols, quarantine protocols).
- Train Animal Technicians in routine procedures and type of health concerns to be aware of.
- Fill in LVT tasks if needed in LVT absence.
- Perform palatability test procedures in accordance with established schedules, procedures, and instructions in a manner that ensures reliable results are obtained.
- Accurately record data and manage testing software when required.
- Record abnormal observations related to equipment, animals, and facility and notify appropriate individual(s) of the observations.
- Perform procedures as indicated in the husbandry protocol documents and as required by the Panelis Management.
- Help with the upkeep of the interior and exterior of the animal facility, as necessary.
- Clean, spot clean and sanitize animal rooms, kennels, trays, and equipment, to keep animals clean and comfortable.
- Keep outdoor spaces clean and free from hazards to the animals.
- Ensure well-being and socialization activities are performed as scheduled
FACILITY MAINTENANCE / EQUIPMENT UPKEEP
Notify Panelis Managers concerning facility equipment and structural problems.

- Veterinary Technician or highly experienced Veterinary Assistant
- Be able to follow safety rules, standard operation procedures, and polices
- Demonstrate effective communication
- Time/priority management and organization
- Achieve assigned tasks with pride and sense of accomplishment
- Demonstrates clear understanding and ability to perform the assigned job duties in an effective manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
- Be able to walk and exercise dogs, along with interacting with cats.
- Be able lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Unrestricted range of motion, self-motivated, initiative, team player, safety & hygiene & quality conscious.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
