What are the responsibilities and job description for the DOCSIS Specialist position at SynapsIQ LLC?
1. In-depth knowledge of DOCSIS
a. MAC and PHY Layer
i. Suttle differences between vendors (Harmonic, Vecima and Harmonic)
b. NMS and Provisioning
i. Ability to guide the customer through the process with an in-depth understanding
c. CMTS and Cable Modem Operations.
i. May require hands on CLI work on 3rd party CMTS and CMs.
ii. Understanding of Modem Config files.
2. Advanced Networking
a. Routing, Switching, Fiber Optic Communications
3. Network Management and Provisioning
a. Basic SNMP, Telemetry or TR-069 based
b. Basic understanding of TFTP, IPERF and various performance testing tools.
4. Server Management (Microsoft or LINUX based)
a. Ability to comprehend and become proficient with Management software for use with the customer
5. Fixed Wireless Access Principles.01
6. Problem Solving
a. Utilizing RF planning and management tools
b. Working with vendors and internal resources to find resolution
7. Project Management.
a. The Ability to drive to completion of customer focused projects such as Proof of Concept and Field Trials
b. Holding those accountable for providing information/resolution (internal & external)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $5,000.00 - $5,500.00 per month
