Overview
Learn the theory and purpose behind our touch-sensing ASICs, understand their expected behavior, and characterize their actual performance. Apply classroom knowledge and lab experience in both EE and CS domains to improve our bench characterization tools, while using those same tools on our newest mixed-signal ASIC projects. Deepen your existing knowledge of mixed-signal circuits, PCB design, silicon systems, software engineering, and/or data analysis, while gaining a broader understanding of how all of those disciplines work together.
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $30.00 - $52.50 per hour. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only.

Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Improve existing automated qualification and characterization systems
- Automate new procedures for both live characterization and offline data analysis
- Balance both electrical and software solutions for characterization toolchain to find best tradeoff of time and cost at system level
- Negotiate, scope, design, and execute a longer-term project amidst on-going load of daily testing activity
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of electrical systems
- Familiarity with small-system communication protocols
- Practice with scripting language such as Python
- Courage to refactor shared code on tight schedule
- Experience with electrical test equipment
- Ability to analyze and report technical information
- Effectiveness in team project environment
- Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
- Self-motivated and aptitude to learn quickly
- Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong sense of professionalism
- Candidates should be seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in engineering (e.g. EE, EECS) or other relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of circuit analysis and scripting languages
- Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history
- Must be 18 years of age or older
