What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Coordinator position at Synchronize?
PURPOSE
To efficiently and accurately coordinate the day-to-day operations of Impact. The position interacts with customers and different departments within Impact.
POSITION SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rental Coordinator is responsible for creating daily dispatch and effectively communicating dispatch to the Impact drivers. Dispatch includes but is not limited to the delivery, pickup and transfer of Impact rental fleet.
- Responsible for effectively communicating with customers via telephone, email, and additional communication methods.
- Rental Coordinator interacts with all rental departments including: service, sales, and logistics to facilitate the efficient scheduling of equipment through the rental process.
- Rental Coordinator is responsible for accurate rental contract creation including: correct customer, customer contact/phone number, equipment, rates, contract start date, and purchase order.
- Inventory control and reconciliation are crucial parts of the position. It includes the physical equipment, buckets, forks, hoses, bits and all other attachments/bulk items assigned to a specific location.
- The ability to learn different equipment models, attachments, and applications is an important part of the position.
- The ability to effectively learn industry-specific computer software.
- Rental Coordinator is responsible for making outbound calls to customers. Customers are to be provided by sales staff and management.
- The Coordinator is responsible for opening new accounts via outbound or inbound customer calls.
- The Coordinator is responsible for various reports including but not limited too: Overdue Contract Report, Overdue Pickup Report, Unsigned Contract Report, Documents Due to Invoice, etc.
- The position requires positive interaction with customers daily with appropriate communication both verbal and written.
- Must gain general understanding of equipment functionality to facilitate necessary movement of equipment as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree preferred not required.
- Interpersonal skills are necessary.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required.
- Sense of Urgency with a desire to serve is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to move around the office, retrieve files, and operate office equipment.
- Must be able to operate a computer and landline phone efficiently.
