The role of Physical Therapist Assistant is part-time. The location is 32 Mayo Drive, Holden, Massachusetts.
We're looking for a candidate with strong qualifications and experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, you'll be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with your qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards.
You must have a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification and CPR certification. You should also have a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program and 0-1 years of experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
- Observe patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
- Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
