Responsibilities
Provides assistance with measuring, mixing, counting out, labeling and recording amounts and dosages ofmedications according to prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist.
Hours -
- 2nd shift hours (2:30p-11p)
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepacks for the floor bulk medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications and affix labels.2. Responds to questions or requests. Directs inquires as needed to various departments.3. Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs.4. Orders, labels, and counts stock of medications, chemicals, or supplies.5. Receives and stores incoming supplies, verifies quantities against invoices, checks for outdated medicationsin current inventory and informs supervisor of stock needs and shortages.6. Assists with special projects as needed.7. Minimal travel including overnight stay as necessary.8. Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.9. Supports location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.10. Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.11. Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.12. Leads by Example (LBE), upholds and promotes the culture, mission and values of the Company.13. Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.14. Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.15. Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Pharmacy Technician as required by State regulatory requirements.
Experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years’ pharmacy technician experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, assisted living, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year multi-facility experience preferred.
- QS1 experience preferred.
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
