Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician- Credits and Returns processes and maintains all returned medication from facilities. Abides by guidelines for Schedule 2 Drugs as required by the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) and all local, state and federal regulations.
PRN ROLE
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives and sorts all medication containers returned from facilities.
- Logs returns into system to determine if credit can be issued following prescribed company guidelines.
- Processes medications which can be returned to stock.
- Assesses environment and returned content for safety hazards, separates hazardous items and reports conditions as needed to Supervisor.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
- Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
- Supports location, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
- Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
- Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Pharmacy Technician as required by State regulatory requirements.
Experience:
- One (1) to three (3) years’ pharmacy technician experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, assisted living, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year multi-facility experience preferred.
- QS1 experience preferred.
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
