Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA at Synchrony Rehab
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assisting patients in improving their functional abilities and independence.

Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADL) training, and other interventions.
- Assist patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
Requirements:
- Valid state OTA licensure or certification.
- Current valid CPR certification, preferred.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- 0-1 years of experience.
