Job Description : Role Summary / Purpose : We are seeking an Agile Product Owner to lead the development and implementation of resilient, dependable, and high-performing Apply APIs and systems that serve as the foundation for our digital ecosystem, driving growth and facilitating success across Synchrony’s strategic initiatives and other key projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience working in a matrixed environment with clients and technical development teams, strong project management and Agile skills, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.Essential Responsibilities : Design and execute on an API product roadmap that aligns with the strategic goals of the companyPartner with multiple internal and external sources to understand feature requests, market intelligence and user VOC, to translate into detailed feature stories ready for developmentPartner with the technical team to ensure the APIs are reliable and scalable while following standards defined by the API COEWork with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, UX and QA on feature development / enhancements, inclusive of design, testing and release processesLead the feature development cycle, including build, test, launch and adoption.Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with internal stakeholdersDevelop and maintain API documentation, including use cases, designs, and other supporting informationPartner with Digital Analytics team to monitor post-release customer / client feedback, analyze and resolve any identified issuesSupport and aid in any Legal / Compliance items related to the feature developmentDevelop deep understanding of the application / platform and provide input (to other Product Owners) about future product features or enhancementsParticipate in / support broader Digital team and Innovation Station team objectives, including business development presentations, BOLT Sessions, ETI process, Hackathons and other activitiesPerform other duties and / or special projects as assignedQualifications / Requirements : Bachelor's Degree OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 7 years of project management experienceMinimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably in Digital or Marketing disciplinesDesired Characteristics : Experience with Agile software development framework, preferably acting as Product OwnerCurious and passionate about the customer experience, with a proven record of creative problem solvingSelf-motivated, strong communicator (written / verbal) who thrives in a highly-matrixed and virtual / hybrid environmentExperience in the credit card or financial services industryDigital proficiency, including an understanding of web / mobile devices, programming and applicationsAccount management or relationship management experience including the ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional business partnerStrong understanding of APIs and experience with API product managementGrade / Level : 11The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements : You must be 18 years or olderYou must have a high school diploma or equivalentYou must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding processYou must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
