Role Summary / Purpose :
The Product Owner is responsible for continuous exploration, development and deployment of data products that enable Synchrony’s authentication strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong project and data management skills, an Agile background working with cross functional teams; specifically, technology and operations and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Work closely with Authentication leadership and collaborate cross functionally (e.g., Customer Service, IT, Marketing, Fraud, Risk, Ops, Collections) to drive product strategy, develop the product roadmap, identify and influence the prioritization of features.
- Translate the business objectives and requirements into user stories for the engineering organization. Work with Solution Architecture and Engineering to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and their impacts.
- Ensure needs of the business and customers are met, plans are proactively communicated, and issues are raised quickly and resolved.
- Refine and prepare Product Backlog for Program Increment commitments and release planning. Prioritize stories to ensure work focuses on delivering maximum business value in alignment with product strategy.
- Collaborate with Scrum Master(s), System Architect(s) and other ART partners to manage the release scheduling and activities with integration across multiple Agile development teams.
- Work closely with data architects and data governance to ensure compliance with all relevant data standards.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of reports that detail system performance, stability and accuracy using Tableau, New Relic or similar products.
- Spend a significant amount of time overseeing the actual development and release of the product; actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint demos and post implementation monitoring.
- Work hands-on with development team(s). Make critical decisions regarding functionality and priority by providing real-time feedback and answering ongoing questions.
- Support SAFe Core Values, apply SAFe Principles & implement / follow SAFe practices and ceremonies.
- Advocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams.
- Perform other duties and / or special projects as assigned.

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
