Quality Inspector

Purpose:

Inspect product quality, manufacturing processes and materials to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and customer requirements in accordance with work instructions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ability to use hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.), Gages, Optical Tools, or Electronic Measuring Equipment.
• Solder surface mount and thru-hole components.
• Assemble piece parts into a final product using manual and electrical tools.
• Functional test of assemblies and box build units using various electronic equipment.
• Checks first piece/set-up.
• Maintain inspection records and filing system per company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized and FOD free workstation.
• Ability to work in an ISO environment.
• Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and in working condition.
• Provide hands on training to coworkers.
• Any other reasonable tasks necessary.

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates will have 2 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610
• Experience with IATF16949, ISO13485, and ISO 9001 is very helpful.
• Good communication skills in English are required.
• Read and understand blueprints and engineering documentation (e.g. schematics, assembly drawings, and component specifications) including industry workmanship standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs.
• May be required to lift up to 25lbsa.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach within arm's length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
