Syndeo Staffing has a Direct Hire opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a processing company who specializes in filling, retorting, and packaging coffee beverages for outside customers located in Manhattan, KS. This role is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of infrastructure and equipment that produces canned coffee products. They will actively participate in efficient maintenance and changeover of equipment that supports the conversion of raw materials to finished products. Must have operating knowledge of all equipment and processing including updates to equipment and processes. This individual must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and be able to pass pre-employment drug and MVR screening.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Pay: $32/hour BOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance Perform service and maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, heaters, dryers, grinders and conveyors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl in tight spaces.
- The employee must be capable of lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Expert attention to detail.
- Strong background in Maintenance with 3-4 years related experience.
- Ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams and mechanical handbooks Ability to roll up your sleeves and get creative when your solution isn't there.
- Experience and be knowledgeable in PLC's
- Experience in production environment maintenance, with food grade production environment preferred.
- Ability to work well with others and fix issues in a timely manner.
- Electricity/Electronics, Pumps, Pipe Fittings,/Plumbing, Machine Installation and Rigging, Conveyor Systems, HVAC Systems, Building Construction, Shop Safety.
Some experience in all the following, preferably with major experience in at least one category
