Entry Level Design Engineer
Syndetix is seeking a creative and talented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this position you will be responsible for design and develop components such as circuit boards and processors for devices. You will work closely with software and embedded hardware engineers to create new components, conduct tests on prototypes, and oversee the manufacturing process of a variety of hardware components.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop hardware products through all phases of the new product introduction process.
- Work closely with the embedded software developers to verify functionality in the system.
- Keep up with technology trends in design, manufacturing, and electronic components for application in new products.
- Ensure designs meet the product functionality and certification requirements.
- Collaborate with global supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure that the product is cost effective and designed for manufacturability.
- Support hardware products throughout the lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
- Proficiency using CAD development tools for schematic capture and simulation
PREFERRED QUALIFYING CLASSWORK:
- Programming and Embedded Systems
- Computer Systems Architecture
- Analog and Digital VLSI
- Hardware and Software Codesign
- ARM SOC Design
- Algorithm Design and Implementation
GENERAL INFORMATION:
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. To obtain a clearance, the candidate will need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
